When is a Fishing Lure Too Big?

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

For a recent fishing trip in northern Manitoba, Canada, the question of using the size of the bait. The lake was a trophy northern pike lake, but it is also full of gold. After a long day of casting for pike, we decided to fish for walleye in the evening to give our arms a little rest.
Following the capture of walleye my partner of many other boats, then the “Big One” hit. A walleye pike had swallowed large. After playing the fish for a while I cradle in the water and tried to approach it in. We support that, but he wanted no part of this and another series. While the North has been home, we noticed that the pike was longer than the cradle. The cradle was 48. “It was a great North. After further we carry the fish was close and it let go. Oh, The Big One got away, but my boat partner, or on a pole. We landed and pike measured 17 “. Nice fish!
We knew that if he makes the pike were tracks and yet we have never seen the pike. He had swallowed the walleye at the bottom. Pike has never been connected, he just wanted a meal.
Thus, when a fish bait is too big? 17 inches?
